New shows this week on TNT

It's time for another hot July week to begin. In addition to all the fun in the sun I'm sure you're all having you might want to take a break from the heat and relax in front of the t.v. with a nice tall glass of lemonade, Diet Coke or whatever your cool beverage of choice is. Why? Because TNT and TBS are bringing you some great new entertainment.

Just check it out:

On July 15 at 9p.m. (E.T./P.T.) you can check out LEVERAGE as it returns for a new season with an episode called "The Beantown Bailout Job." Just click here to see a preview.

That very same night at 10p.m. (E.T./P.T.) you can check out the pilot of TNT's new show Dark Blue. This drama takes you into the underbelly of the criminal world and is sure to keep you in suspense. You can check out a preview by clicking here.

And finally if you're looking for less drama and more laughs to kick off the weekend tune into TBS for the new season of The Bill Engvall Show. This is a show I've watched several times and it always makes me laugh. On July 18th you can catch back-to-back new episodes beginning at 9pm (E.T./P.T.).

So go ahead, kick back and enjoy a little drama and comedy this week as you cool off inside.

OMGosh!!!! I AM my mom!!!!!!

I've been thinking a lot lately about how much I've become like my mom. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I have an AWESOME mom! But really, I never thought I'd grow up to be like her...but I am. Seriously! I play weird games with my kids and act all crazy just like her. But there's more to it than that. Oh there's so much more to it than that...

Because the second I get home from anywhere, I have to pee just she always did. Yeah...that's right, weird, huh? But growing up I always thought it was so funny that the second we got home my mom had to pee. Just seconds before she was fine. But that key goes in the lock and the door opens and it's a matter of urgency to get to the potty NOW! I can still see her legs crossed dance/walk as she hurried to get there. And now...that's me.

LOL! I love you mom! Who knew I'd inherit that of all things...

Pueblo Zoo with the girls

Another place we've discovered in Southern Colorado that we enjoyed was the Pueblo Zoo. A couple weeks ago on one of my husband's days off we decided to take the girls up there to take a look. It wasn't as cool or as big as the Denver Zoo (we'll definitely have to head up there at least once before the year's over), but it was still fun.

The girls really enjoyed the penguins and monkeys. They also, of course, loved their snow cones! It was a HOT day...next time mommy gets a snow cone too!

Bishop's Castle

Since moving to Southern Colorado at the end of May we've been trying to get familiar with the area and the wonders that this part of the state has to offer. In June we took a drive up to Bishop's Castle to see what it was all about. You can "google" it to find out more, but it's basically this castle that a guy built from rocks in the San Isabel National Forest. It's pretty crazy to see in person. I never knew there was a real castle in Colorado. You can see a picture I took of it below as well as an attempt at a picture of the girls. It's so dang hard to get a good picture of them together. And yes, my oldest insisted on wearing a crown because she said she's the queen...goofball!

I Love You!...I Know!

I miss the days when my daughter would respond to "I love you!" with, "I love you too!" These days when I say, "I love you!" she responds with, "I know!"

While I'm grateful she knows that I love her, I still miss hearing her say it. Occasionally I get lucky and she comes running up to me out of nowhere and tells me she loves me.

Sigh...
