I'm so upset!

I feel so bad for Josie. I've been reading up on bronchiolitis to see what exactly this crappy thing is that's plaguing my baby. And it's not fair! Apparently it's more common in males...well, she's definitely a girl. It's more common on a premature baby...this one had to be ejected, she was late. It's more common on low birth weight babies...she was 9 pounds 1/2 ounce, that's not low. It's more common when the baby isn't breast fed, well she's only breast fed. It more common in crowded living conditions. There are only four of us here, it's not crowded. It more common in kids who go to daycare. She's never been to daycare because I'm a stay at home mom. More common among low socioeconomic families...not that we're rich, but we make more than the average for this area. It's more common when they're exposed to cigarette smoke. I detest smoking with a passion and NEVER expose her to it. So why does my precious little girl have this? Her coughing and wheezing and throwing up are killing me. Please, make me sick and her well. I'll gladly take this burden from her...why can't I just take it from her???

u have to let it run its course..in the meantime try to minimize her discomforts..wat u were talking abt r just stats...it happens to everybody but statistically speaking yr kid's chances were very low of getting it..

Oh poor baby girl. My little guy had it when he was nine months. It was so hard watching him. Take care.

Oh Natalie, I'm sure your baby girl will get better soon. It's very hard watching your little one be sick...
I'm thinking of you.

I'm sorry to hear this about Josie and hope she is doing much better today. My son would get a bad respiratory infection every winter, like clockwork, until he was about 10. I'm a SAHM, he never went to daycare, etc. It's just how they are. He's 21 now ( was home from college) and didn't get the sinus cold that his dad and I suffered through for the first part of January. Keep Josie's immune system strong (OJ, vitamins)and hopefully she'll have better winters.
