This is where we ate lunch in Colorado Springs the other day. We chose to eat there because of this sign. It made us laugh.

It is funny. (I don't know about you but I sure think our congress has more to do than slap baseball players hands. It was/is eye rolling.)

This sign made me laugh out loud! I think it's funny people don't know who Roger Clemens is. I wouldn't consider myself a baseball fan (I know, heaven forbid;), but I know who he is. I guess because he's been around forever and I used to watch more baseball and also remember as a kid having his baseball card. Fun post! :)

The sign really made me laugh too. I would have stopped to eat there if I had seen the sign too.

But if you talk to the dishwasher in the back, he claims to have the fork with which he personally fed Mr. Clemens a piece of deep dish pepperoni pizza. :)

My WW post for this week is up with pictures of spring flowers.

I don't know whether to laugh or roll my eyes.

I guess that funny signs are as good a way as any to pick where to eat.

I take it that he is a baseball star? Sadly I know nothing about baseball (on a brighter note I know nothing about cricket either!) Happy WW

I was going to make a post once about how congress was bad for focusing on this stupid issue when there are more important ones. I googled the head of the committee and was surprised to see that there are all kinds of more important hearing going on, his bio didn't even mention this one. It is the media that is unduly focusing on this, not government. Granted, not having the hearing at all would have been ok, but they really aren't distracting the government that much.

LOL! And I like the look of that sign - non-trendy and content with its word-of-mouth appeal.

Very funny sign! Living in NH, you can imagine that this house is full of Red Sox fans, too. I found it interesting that you say that Colorado is flat. I think of it as so mountainous, though I've never been. Obviously, there must be some flat/desert areas there. Other parts make NH seem flat! Thanks for stopping by!

No pizza for you!

You did well in editing your post. People come from all over the world, and most won't have a clue of who Roger Clemens is, because baseball is not that popular outside of USA, Cuba, Japan or Venezuela...

I am a sports fan myself, but the only reason I know of Clemens is because of the problems he's in these days... I don't exactly LOVE baseball... :-)

Thanks for dropping by, have a great WW!

My post: "Soccer stars".

Kristin said...

Thanks, Natalie. I didn't realize that about Colorado, but it makes sense. I forget that those big ole states can vary greatly. CO is probably almost as big as all of New England, LOL.

You are making me hungry! :)

I don't know about the 'Roger Clemens' thing either, but I gather from the other comments enough to know it's funny. It's nice to see businesses throwing around satire! Happy WW...on Thursday LOL
