Let's face it, even the best kids don't always listen. And when you're out running errands with your kids and you're frazzled and tired it seems they listen even less. Add to that the stress of things beyond your control like crowded places and parking lots and it's enough to give you several new gray hairs. Fortunately a Virginia mom had an idea that can help you out. She came up with the Parking Pal. This is a magnet, like the one shown here, that you place on your car. You teach your kids to put their hand on it when they get out of and are waiting to get back into the car. It's just a little helper for you while you unlock the car or load younger children into the car. Hey, any extra help you can get to keep them from bolting out in front of other cars or getting in the way of other drivers who just aren't paying attention is nice, right? Of course, this isn't something to be used without your supervision, but it's your own little helper.
The Parking Pal magnet comes in several different patterns including dinosaurs, flowers, alphabet, planets and fish. Kids love the bright colors and patterns and after just a few learning sessions your kids will start to love putting their hand on the Parking Pal while you're busy getting the car open and ready for them to get inside. There are only so many things you can control, you can control your actions, but you can't control other drivers who may be distracted by their cell phones, their thoughts, their stereos and more. A Parking Pal can help you keep your kids away from these dangers, because a tragedy can occur in an instant.
Now, do you want a Parking Pal magnet of your own? Just leave a comment here and don't forget to leave a valid email address if there's not one in your Blogger profile so I can reach you if you win. You have until June 19th at noon MDT to enter, I'll pick a winner using random.org shortly after that time.
And if you just can't wait to see if you win to get one or more of these for your children then head over to Parking Pal and order your own. If you place your order during June or July you will be placed into a drawing for a $50 Toys R Us gift card. You can't complain about that!

Jackie is doing the same one right now, but I figure I might as well try on this one too, LOL
This item seems like it would be great to have, like loading things in the car, or grabbing something quick.

So many brilliant women out there making awesome stuff!
What a great idea!
This is an excellent idea. Am going to check the site and learn more about the motivation of the designer.
Don't include me in your random draw - I'm in Australia and am a child safety professional with grown up little people.
I am always telling my kids to keep a hand on the car. This will help make it more enjoyable for them. Thanks!

I have been wanting one of these for quite awhile. Thank you for doing this giveaway. I can't believe the things that I see in parking lots these days!
My kids touch the car but it would be nice to have a spot to touch. I just love the person who thought this up!
Looks very useful!
My kids are used to "touching the car" while they are waiting for me. This would be a great way to make sure they stand where I want them to.
I love the dino parking pal!
