Then She Found Me

I've always been a big movie fan and have really missed getting to go to the movies since we moved out here to the boonies. So when the Family Review Network asked me to watch Then She Found Me and share my thoughts on it I jumped at the chance.

This movie, directed by Helen Hunt, features an all star cast including Colin Firth, Bette Midler, Matthew Broderick and Hunt herself. It is the story of a schoolteacher who is struggling with fertility issues followed by the separation from her husband and the death of her adoptive mother. Just when you think things couldn't get any more complex for her, she falls for the divorced father of one of her students and she is contacted by her semi-celebrity/wacky birth mother. It's a touching portrayal of a woman's struggle to find her way out of the chaos that her life has become.

I did like it, although it honestly could do with fewer swear words and there were times I wanted to shout at the screen when Hunt's character let herself be stepped on rather than fighting back. But all in all I think it was a sweet story with an ending that left me a little teary, but good tears.

You can purchase Then She Found Me on Amazon for $19.99 and can watch the trailer here.
