Box Tops for Education

I can't imagine there's a school out there that doesn't need a little (or a lot) of extra funding. Thanks to Box Tops for Education there's something parents like you and I can do to help out.

There are a few different options, each one can earn your school of choice up to $20,000 per school year. The first you've probably heard of, that's clipping the box top logos, like the ones to the right, from the tops of boxes of many different products you probably have in your cupboards right now. In fact, I took a handful of them into my daughter's school just today.

The second option is ordering books from the Box Tops Reading Room where your school can earn up to 6% of the purchase price.

And the final way you can help your school earn money is shopping in the Box Tops Marketplace. In the Marketplace you have a choice of over 70 stores where you can shop and have a percentage of your purchase go to your school. Thanks to Shoes.com I was able to test out the Marketplace for myself. My order of a pair of athletic shoes will give my daughter's school 6.5% of the sale price. You can shop at Target.com and have 1.5% donated, Gap.com and have 2% donated, JCPenny and have 3% donated and so many other stores. It's a fun and easy way to earn money for your school. If you're online shopping this holiday season consider checking out the Box Tops Marketplace and see if you can make some money for your school purchasing something you were going to purchase anyway. Registration is easy and free, then you're on your way to doing something good. Your school will thank you!

I just turned in over 800 boxtops at my boys school - I've been saving for 3 years.

Don't forget about the campbells soup labels - you can get tons of free equipment for your school, like computers and stuff.

Harris Teeter Milk Tops - 10 cents per

A lot of grocery stores will hook up there shopping cards to local school and the schools get a percentage of sales.

Our school has one member of the PTA who is responsible for all of these different programs so all the parents can be aware of the many different ways you can help your school make money.

Great Post!
